As part of Roanoke’s Center in the Square, the History Museum of Western Virginia boosts its cultural community with its extensive collection. This museum houses the largest repository of material specially devoted to tracing human history of Western Virginia. Charter bus visitors can view more than 6,000 three dimensional objects, 1,300 books, 8,000 photographs, 8,000 documents, and hundreds of maps, slides, postcards and textiles that make up the collection of the History Museum of Western Virginia.
